What is Model Me?

Support That Continues Between Sessions.

Therapy happens once a week. Life happens every day. Model Me was created to bridge that gap; giving parents and caregivers clear, professional guidance they can use in the everyday moments that matter most.

Through short, easy-to-follow videos and visual guides, Model Me shows you exactly how to weave occupational therapy strategies into the routines you already do: playtime, mealtime, bath time, and more. No special equipment. No extra hours in your day. Just simple, confident ways to support your child's growth right at home.

Model Me is built on a research-backed approach called caregiver coaching through video modeling, developed as a doctor of occupational therapy capstone project. It reflects what the field of early intervention and occupational therapy has long known: children make the most progress when their caregivers feel confident and supported, practicing within natural routines and environments.

About the creator.

Created by an occupational therapist who has been in the room

Model Me was created by Haley DiMassimo, OTD, OTR/L, a doctor of occupational therapy specializing in early intervention for almost 10 years. She developed the Model Me Program through her doctoral capstone project, driven by a simple belief she saw proven in her work:

Caregivers are the most important part of a child's therapy team.

Between weekly sessions, families are the ones putting strategies into practice. This all happens during meals, play, and everyday routines. Model Me was built to give those families the confidence, clarity, and support to make the most of those moments.
